Well thats right, ally is on the island! She landed here on friday night and we've been prancing around Qualicum the entire time... and some how we ended up prancing behind a bunch of highschool students on their lunch break in town and pretty much we are creepy stalkers of life. Anywayyyyyy I dropped ally off at Tara and Rubes place this morning ( I have to share ally while shes here) and then she leaves on saturday morning, back to cold Ontario. I think we will probs be hanging around camp sometime on friday, so if anyone is around come down to camp! Oh and FYI, Tars is running a half marathon and the picture is of her and all her sweet running gear hahahaha. Go tars go!

Calling the Called to Call
Believe it or not, we already have a number of Kaleo Five students in place for this fall, including some that were in your youth group or cabin not long ago! We are blessed out of our socks every day by Kaleo Four, and we are already feeling blessed by Kaleo Five as we get to know them long distance. Our prayer is that God will continue to pull them from every walk of life to come together as a new Kaleo community.

However, Briercrest tells us that although we have accepted the same number of people as last year at this time, the number of applications coming through the system are much lower than usual. This seems to be a difficulty shared by Bible Colleges across Canada right now. In fact, if you are listening to one of the few Christian radio stations that can be heard in Canada, you might find an ad inviting people to check out a program called Kaleo.
But I know that the very best way for people to have opportunity to check out the Kaleo option is through the people who have already been there. We would like to ask you to pray and consider who in your world God may be calling to Kaleo, and whether his call might come through you. If anyone you know needs Kaleo information, please ask them to call us, or direct them to the Kaleo website.
Thanks for your continuing support and prayer for the growing Kaleo community! I would love to hear from you and get an update on where you are, what you are doing and what God is up to in your life. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey from the Ice Kingdom of the Universe
So I was eating lunch today and I was trying to decide whether or not I wanted to have a cup of tea and then I thought to myself "Hey, I wonder how Nana Shirley's doing!" I don't think we posted it, but last summer Tara and Ally and I all went to visit her briefly... we had to explain 3 or 4 separate times who we were because she kept remembering us and then forgetting again, but we reminded her of how we all came and sang Christmas carols to her and she seemed to remember that. But anyway, part way through our conversation with her I remember her asking us "Do you think of me, when you go home again? Do you ever remember me here?" And it was just so humbling to hear her say that, especially since us kaleos are some of the only people who've made an effort to go visit her in years, while realistically today was probably the first time I've really thought of her again since summer. So, I just felt throwing up a post to remind us all of Nana Shirley.... I have no idea how she's doing or if she's still there at all.... but she's an amazing lady, so....
Oh, I haven't posted in a few months, but I'm at Briercrest now and things are good.
Later.

Famous in Venezuela
Do the some of the people in this poster look familiar? Soccer team? Grammy recipients? Nope, last year's Team Venezuela 06 paving the way for Team 07.

Please pray for them as they prepare, along with the New York, India and Vancouver Teams! More info will be up on the Kaleo 4 site in March.

Favor and Prayer Request
Hey you all. I hope that I find you well. Life here is going good. I have been busy helping with homework and papers. It seems the way that the class schedule goes this year there are some definate points of stress with some classes being so close together. Other than that life has been good. There has been a lot happening here and God is moving in the lives of these studetns. I see it more and more every day.
There is two things that I have to ask you. The first one is more about this program called Kaleo that we all love. Could I encourage you to share what this program is all about with those around you and inform them about it if there is any interest. Word of mouth is the best form of communication and promotion that we have. We are seeing fewer applicatoins and it would be great for more people to hear about this lovely experience called Kaleo.
The second is a prayer request for the Mongolia team (but not limited to them). I was talking with some of the students from Mongolia and Holly had her baby. The baby was fine and great but recently it came down with Pheumonia and had to be emergency lifted to the states with Holly. This happened a week or two ago. From what I have heard Holly has not left the hospital...not wanting to leave her baby. As for her child... it is apperently getting better, but continued prayre is needed. Please pray for this situation.
Thanks for everything, luff

Well it has been WAY tooo long....(and this might be long)

hey hey. I know I am a horrible blogger but really you have to believe me that I forgot my password like 22x and had to create all these new accounts. Then I got rejected from blogger for a while but yesterday it worked!!! I do love reading the blog and hearing about you all.
Well let me give you an update from O-dot. first of all im not in Orangeville so that is a lie. I am in London going to the University of Western Ontario. I am studying Kinesiology and i love it. I find physiology soo intersting and enjoy what i am learning (with the exeption of biology...which was not at all what i thought it would be. Every lecture is our wacked-out prof proving to us that the earth was created from a falling astroid from mars...and he doesnt accept any questions cause he cant answer them. bahhaha i laugh)

I have been so blessed with my living conditions this year. I am with 3 other great girls in one of the dorms on campus. I am really thankful for them and I look around even our floor and see just how God handpicked the rooms. Thats pretty rad. This year all-in-all has been a rollercoaster ride like there is no tomorrow. Frosh week was insane like I have never seen before. Some times I hate rez sooo much but then other times I love it. It is kinda messed up. Next year i wont be living in rez (woot woot) and will be living in a house with 6 girls. It kinda made me feel really grown up signing a lease and all. (I felt like I should have gone home to get my parents signatures bahahahah)
I have been able to play innertube water polo on a team this year and it has no lie been gong show of my week every week. It is truly a hilarious game to play...and i cant forget the much needed dance parties as study breaks. The sweet deal here is that i write NO papers or projects whatsoever....that does mean that my exams are worth 100% of my mark so around exam time...studying consumes you.
Just sitting here looking back on this year so far has made me realize how much my faith has been tested and tried. I have had to struggle with decisions and beliefs and have masacared them in my mind to the point that I have been really stretched...but I have grown. It also makes me really super thankfull for last year and having a strong foundation. I feel like this year has been a test to apply what I learned last year. I am having a hard time getting connected with any of the Christian groups on campus. That has been a huge challenge casue i dont enjoy it at all but i know how important it is to be connected spiritually. I am workin on that though. But I AM loving it here and i know without a doubt this is where i am supposed to be....right now at least ( I DO miss beautifull BC and the mountains and the ocean...my goodness...get me out there)
well actually I am coming out in lets see....3 WEEEEKSS to stay with Bryson and Tars and can't wait to see the people at Qwanoes/ around Qwanoes. Im excited.
Sorry this blog has been a novel. The pictures are of a few of my roomates and some people on the floor.
Peace it out....Ally : )

I hate titles...
Well hello there everyone. I hope all is well. I am posting to request prayer from you all. As the wedding is getting closer and closer, justin and I are starting to think that we should elope instead. We're not going to, only because I want a wedding so bad. I have been stressed to the max for the past three weeks. Not being able to sleep, having nightmares and just living at home. I love my family, but I can't stand living here anymore. I really don't want to get into it just because I don't even know what I would say. Justin and I have no money really to afford a wedding. I think my parents were going to give us some to help us out, but I have decided I do not want any of their money, for various reasons. Though the words that people tell me about helping me plan the wedding and support and crap, I have yet to really experience that, especially from my family. Like I said, I love them, but I am feeling so hurt by them as each day goes by. I really want prayer for I don't even know. My parents are starting to charge me rent for living at home. Which really sucks because Justin's parents had paid off all of his loans so that we could save that extra money for the wedding and now I will be having to pay it anyways. I started packing my things today, I don't know where I am going but I don't know if I can live at home anymore. I feel alone on so many levels. My relationship with God is, easy way to say it is non existant. I have had so many things to deal with and frustrations that I need to talk to someone about and just someone to talk to, and I think that not having a relationship like that this year is what really made it easy for my relationship with God to slip. I love him and praise him and believe everything, it's just dry, and so much harder without that christian group, support group like we had last year. I could really go on forever and I know that I really only ever post when things kinda suck and I'm sorry. I really don't want to burden anyone with my life, and I have no idea of how to even start talking to someone.... so I come on here because it's easy. Anyways if you could pray for me that would be awesome. I know this really doesn't let you know what happening in my life. But I just want the next four months to go by fast so I can be married. Because being engaged has definately brought up more frustration and disapproval than it did support, and I never expected it to be like this. Please pray for me, in ways you feel appropriate. I love you guys and I miss you all so much. God Bless.
Sunny Alabama to Windy Saskatchewan.....hmmmm?

Hello,
As you may have guessed from the title I have left the promise land of BC and the wonderful temperatures of the gulf coast. I have now landed on the windy and cold soil of Saskatchewan (although they have beautiful sunsets and sunrise here). To attend the great and mighty Briercrest to further my relationship with Christ and my knowledge of the Lord. I am in the amazing Lewis Apartments with Parker, Brady, and the one and only Jon Lampard right across the hall. Derkson is also down the hall. I'm currently in the student government as the Student Service Coordinator (basically I'm the in charge of organizing volunteers for service projects around the campus). I have awesome classes and I am enjoying them throughly. I am also involved with YQ and having "fun" with that. Well this has been a wonderful chat(oh wait i didn't actually talk out loud to anyone....oh well)PS: the picture is of me rappelling of the ceiling of the Hildebrand Chapel(about 60 feet)
Yours,
Dave Clark
