does anyone else want to go home?

Hey all, just thought I would leave a message mainly for my folks at home who look at this... I MISS YOU, I WOULD COME HOME RIGHT NOW IF I COULD! I love it here but I miss my family so much and my friends, I miss just being home. CARLEN I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU BEYOND COMPREHENSION! Kaleo is so awesome, everyone here is so awesome... But I miss people truly knowing me and all that.... I want to go home so bad, the next 11 days are going to be long long days of homework. I miss my family. I love you Kaleo guys, maybe one day you guys can get to know me to understand why I want to go home, but that is for a different day. Pray for home sickness to go away, I really just want to enjoy my time here, pray for homework to be done, pray for comfort, pray for friendships.... ya anyways I miss everyone at home, I'll see you in eleven days! I love you guys!

Spiritual Gifts WHAT?

SO basically we're doing this foundations of church ministry course. Its pretty sweet. I am enjoying it. I really like the dialoging and discussion. Anyway I found out today I am a Peter. Basically what this means is I am the rock on which the church is built........... Ok but seriously its pretty cool. The description in our text book of a "fanatical christian" or "peter" is that I am high in commitment and power. I don't really know about the power part. I haven't done anything to miraculous lately but I can see the commitment part. Plus the downer is I'm low in Wisdom. Duh everyone knew that one so yeah pretty much almost the perfect fit for me. Anyway I just felt like sharing that with whoever cares. P.S. Matt parker I don't have the gift of singlehood.

once upon a time there was a little girl whose name can not be revealed for safety sake. one day she was minding her own business when an ogre attacked her. she put up a good fight but the ogre cheated and had to use a massive club to break the girls wrist. lucky her trusty roomates came to her rescue and pulled her to safety. :) -marissa
anyways... we all hoped on the ferry on wednesday and we ended up taking pictures of scott on top of transport trucks....it made for great pictures. Marissa and Ally have now found a new love of their life....SWINGDANCING!
Brandon is being distracting and we still haven't got our work done. Kirk is being a caterpiller and is spending a lot of the time in his sleeping bag... oh wait...except for when he was bustin a move on the dancefloor.

Miss You All!!!!

I just wanted to say hi to everyone... It took me until now to figure out how to blog .. yes i know that's bad but hey i can do it now!!! yay!! ..hmmm not much new with me accept it's snowing here tons.. the roads were closed and everything ... oh yeah it's cold to... i had forgotten how cold it was ... Man living in BC has made me a wussy.. well i can't wait to see everyone when i get back.. Thank you guys so much for praying for me and my family during this time!!! God was so presant at the funeral and we have felt his comfort as well.. I love and miss you all .. SEE YA MONDAY!!

I live two lives, while Im at kaleo im just the big quiet guy who says a few puns here and there. But when i return home i have a whole new side. I cant really explain it in words so i thought that this picture would best describe it.

Hey everyone! Miss you all so much! Had a couple of happy moments today with the bus ride. At the bus station (I was there for two hours) one of my friends from C.R. were transferring buses, so that was cool (even if it was just for a quick minute). Then getting on the bus it said "Smile!" on the front... so I had to oblige. My dad picked up 8 litres of milk after picking me up (I drink a lot of milk) and I finally got supper at 9:00 (yay for hot dogs)! Prayin for all of ya, hope you all had safe travel.

Anyways, just curious... is anyone else gtting tired of my super-long hair? I'm considering getting it cut... let me know what you think before I do anything I might regret, haha. Post a reply soon to tell me what I should do.

P.S. BRADY!! Did you see the episode of L.O.S.T. tonight?? It was insane! I knew you'd probably go bouncing off the walls as soon as the episode started. I knew I was! It was cool to see it on T.V... there aren't as many commercials as I remember now. Have fun watching it!

Jr High Retreat

Hey guys, oh my goodness the Jr. High retreat was so sweet... I just really wanted to share a great story on here. So on like saturday night we all went to pool right. I love playing on like diving boards and stuff so like me and brandon and jaarsma were flipping and stuff and I was trying to do like a front flip with a full twist in it... well I got the twist down but over rotated my front flip, ouch, holy right side of face batman... It hurt so bad... All I could remember is like justin and brandon telling me how sweet it looked.... ouch... pain... and then after that, I did it again, exactly the same... wow. I wish I could have gotten it on video, but it really hurt... I had the biggest headache ever, but ya I like sharing my stupid stories... but ya, maybe I could do it again sometime... or not. Jr High retreat was awesome, I had a blast, except for the lack of sleep which I am going to recover from in a couple minutes with a three hour nap. Have a good one.

Prayers needed

could you all pray for howard, lois, barry and family. howards father passed away, so they could use some prayer. his father knew the Lord so thats something to smile about. pray for travelling too, for safety. barry and his brother and sister in law are driving to alberta and howard and lois are flying. thanks everyone, much appreciated! Take that, Mac users!!

Pentateuch is OVER!! And what would you know, Don Taylor walked in the door just now... oops. My computer has moved to the library now. Just so that I don't have to repeat my reasons for it, I'll post them.

1) Others can use it. Girls especially, since they hardly have any decent computers between them. No, I'm not sucking up to the girls. I just help when and where I can.
2) My computer lights up like a lighthouse, and when I want to try to work at night like I want to, it distracts my roomates trying to sleep.
3) I have a MUCH clearer desk.
4) To keep myself and other guys accountable with playing games. It's gonna mean a little less Rainbow 6... but oh well. It'll be a good thing.
5) Any other possible accountability issues with myself.
6) Any other reason I think of later.

While I'm at it, why don't I go over the rules for using this computer.

1) Kaleo people only unless they have my express permission. At the moment, I'll also allow the interns here, and Chris and Bobby, cause they're cool.
2) Don't mess too much with the settings and placements of the computer. Even if you know what you're doing. Please.
3) Consider others in the Library, of course. Bring your own headphones if others are in here and you're listening to sound, and just respect everyone in here.
4) You don't have to pay me for the printer. You do have to mark it on the Kaleo sheet though, and pay them for their printer. Easy rule to follow because you already are following it.
5) Be fair. Share.
6) Clean up the mess you make. Again, you should be following this rule already. Feel free to use USB and other devices, but I'm not responsible for what happens to it.
7) Try to use the 'Kaleo' user at all times. Just make a habit of not signing into 'Jason', or if I leave my user on, just switch users.
8) It's a nice computer. I like my computer. I hope you guys like my computer too. The computer likes to be treated nicely, so be nice to it.

Other than that, feel free to use it for whatever. Of course, if all you're doing is playing a game, maybe you should read a book. Just get up from the chair and walk over to the opposite side of the room, and get a book. Especially keep in mind those who want to use this for homework or research, especially because MAC'S ARE AWFUL. Ha ha. Take that, Mac users.

Just kidding, I like Macs a little. But PCs are better.
