I've never experienced summer like this...

It's true (in more ways than one...) as it's smoking hot up here in north Alberta, which wouldn't be so bad if the mosquito birds didn't keep me indoors so much. Perhaps I'll invest in some RAID or something. Anyways, things this summer are going up and down for me; I'm enjoying my job as the program director for PRBI Sports Camps (A LOT), but it's pretty lonely here since I'm the only one living on campus. There's some staff that invite me over once in a while, but they're married and kind of have their own lives to attend to. As for me, I'm single, lonely, and occasionally depressed. That sounds a bit harsh, but it's a bit true. Thankfully, I have Sam and Jeri from Kaleo 4 to keep me company sometimes; Jeri Smith is my co-worker for Sports Camps, and Sam (her fiancee) is working close by... or was... but I'll get to that later. Anyways, they're a huge blessing as I go through summer feeling more alone than ever before.

Another huge blessing was that we finally found a Junior High Volleyball coach... Brandon Salyzyn himself!! Yay! (Now if he would only write an update once in a while ;) ) So I'm excited to see him up here early in July... as long as he does a good job I'll be excited, lol, jk.

Some other blessings include finding my first car, finding a lot of time to spend with God, and getting hired for a 10-month internship at Parksville Baptist Church! I dunno if anyone's still in the area (I know Jimbad is!) but it would be sweet to look some of you guys up! I have to wait and see what kind of place I get before I invite anyone over, but yea, hopefully I'll see some of you there! I can't wait to get back to the island!

So there's blessings, and depressing stuff, and speaking of depressive stuff, I know Kaleo 4 would really appreciate it if you looked at their blog and read three of the first four posts (the prayer requests), as well as the comments. Some pretty sad stuff is happening with them, and it would be really great if we could join our prayers to theirs. And anyone else who needs prayer, make sure to post!
