Well how's it going everyone? I'm sitting in the Briercrest Library right now with a paper to write, and if there's one thing I learned at kaleo it's how to procrastinate, so I figured I'd take a break to let you all know how I'm doing. I haven't posted for over a year now, though I still check the blog almost daily. Life's going really good. I'm in my third year at Briercrest now (with two more left) dating a wonderful boy named Josh. Hence the picture. We'll have been going out for a year this saturday, which is pretty exciting, and we're both going to be working at Camp Imadene this summer on their leadership team, so come visit! (I know, Qwanoes is better, etc etc... though we'll see if I still feel like that after the summer, I guess). Last summer I was in Victoria living with my Briercrest roomate Amber and cleaning toilets at Butchart Gardens. I guess heading off to Imadene now I'm still following in Lampard's footsteps.... creepy. Jim and Sarah are out here in Caronport this week to teach a mod, so it has been really good hanging out with them the past few days. Yesturday a bunch of us went with them to the Spa in Moosejaw where there's this big outdoor hot tub and we froze our hair in crazy shapes in the feezing weather, so that was fun. I've also got an internship coming up next year with the one and only Wes Olmstead, which I'm really looking forward to. Well, what else to say. The past year-ish since I moved to Caronport has been hard but good. I've been learning lots of things that I'd rather not learn, and for a while there life was really depressing, asking very serious questions about God and life and forcing myself to not simply accept the cliches. I feel like I've grown a lot, though in a way I do feel like I've grown more distant from the God who I thought I knew, and I hope that that's because I'm growing closer to the real God, who is not quite who I used to expect him to be. I'm loving the accademic side of college though. Learning Greek is fascinating, and rewarding, and I'm already dreaming of going on to get my Master's one day, and maybe even a PhD eventually, who knows. I still don't know what I want to do with my life, though teaching at a post-secondary level is slowly becoming a very attractive sounding option. We'll see though, that's all a very long ways away. Anyway, I hope you're all well, I'm super excited to see some of you on the Island this summer, and some of you back at Briercrest next year. Blessings all.

(.... me and my doggy.... he's just the cutest thing.)

Charis . . . I'm sorry but I still forget that you're the Kaleo and that Josh is the adopted. Oh well, what you can you do. So is the internship official? Do you know who else got it? As for summer, hurray! They didn't just pick one of you! I'm so proud of you for posting, keep on being awesome at life.
Hi friend, I miss you, although we like only an hour apart, I really haven't had a good hang out with in you since like Kaleo... I miss you. Great to hear from you!
