Downey at Camp Q

Hey everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I've posted. Life at Qwanoes has been quite intense to say the least. I have troubles finding time to keep in touch with the people working here let alone everyone else. This summer has been amazing. It has been a huge challenge in so many ways. I've really struggled with stepping out of my normal counselling role into a support role. My job makes it super hard to connect with campers but God has blessed me with a few connections with a couple really cool guys. God's been challenging me a ton in the area of trust in Him and others. It feels like it's a never ending lesson. My days are spent at the water driving and maintaing my boat and then I get to play at chapels at night which has been rad. The other night at the concert Big Kim and I experimented a bit as you can see from the picture. Not going to lie, we didn't do a test run and that may or may not have scared the crap out of me. (Not bad eh Kesler?) As for September, I'm all signed up and ready to go back to CBC. I'll be living at home and commuting to finish up my BA hopefully in two years. If you guys can pray for me that I'll finish the summer well. I feel like I have nothing left to give physically or emotionally and home is looking very inviting right now. Pray for focus and passion for the reason I am here. Looking forward to connecting with some of you guys when I get back on the mainland!
