Global Day of Prayer
Sunday, June 4th, 2006 is Pentecost. Millions of Christians worldwide will be praying globally from sunrise on the Fiji Islands in the east throughout the day across all timezones till the western sunsut. Join the world in prayer for the salvation of the nations on June 4. For over 2000 years, prayer movements have led to the great historical changes in our world. From the very first Pentecost, where only a few persons met to pray, now comes the history of the 'Global Day of Prayer'. The first annual day of prayer only being last year, was not the first gathering of people to pray on pentecost. In July of 2000 and February 2002, God gave visions to two men who soon started thier first gathering in South Africa, "Light of the Nations". With 45,000 in attendence. In 2002, the number of people grew to well over 350,000 in multiple stadiums! The very next year growing to 2.2 million, then in 2004, well over 22,000,000 in 56 different nations!!! This year it is expected to have a number close to 500,000,000!!! Please take the time to check out the website, and see if a city or town near year will be involved in this glorious worldwide event. And even if that is not the case, please remember to join all our brothers and sisters in prayer. June 4th.
I personally found this fascinating, ever since Evangelism in Global Mission with Tim, this particular event has caught my utmost attention. Where 2 or more are gathered in His name, there He will be also and magnificant things will happen. Have a wonderful day and God Bless,
Jason :)
