How To Post a Slideshow on the Blog
This is a cool way to show a group of your photos on the Blog, and it doesn’t use up any space on our Blog site. For a sample, click here.
1. Set up a free Flickr account to upload your pictures to. Flickr allows you to store 20 MB of pictures on their site per month, and with their Uploadr you can upload a number of pictures at one time and size them automatically so they don’t take up so much of your 20 MB per month.
2. When you upload your pictures, put the pictures you want in your slideshow in a “Set” (go to the “Organize” link). You can give your pictures titles, but they won’t show up in the slideshow unless a person double clicks the picture being viewed.
3. This is where it gets a little tricky, but hang in there. Open one of your Sets, and take a look at the address it takes you to. It should look something like this: http://flickr.com/photos/########@N00/sets/#######/ (only with actual numbers where the number signs are). The first group of numbers (########@N00) is your User ID; the second group of numbers (#######) is your Set ID.
4. Sign in at Blogger and create a new post on Kaléo 2005/06. Give it a title and whatever you want to write, and then paste this code into your blog:
5. Replace the number signs (#) with your own User ID and the Set ID of the set you want in the slideshow. Then publish your post! You can change the pictures shown by changing your set on Flickr.
Have fun!
