What about Hitler?
Please read "What about Hitler?" by Robert Brimlow. Its subtitle is "Wrestling with Jesus' Call to Nonviolence in an Evil World." I decided this year not to post controversial Ghandi quotes and start a "war" on the blog. Brimlow's book is very interesting, especially in light of Remembrance day and I would love to talk/debate with people over email after they've read it. Peace!

One name for you Kirky.... Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Haven't found the book yet, but I looked at a few reviews. Interesting. The author particularly explores the mind of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who as well as leaving us many enlightening writings also conspired to assassinate Adolf Hitler. I will keep my eye out for it.

Yes, Bonhoeffer eventually offered to kill Hitler himself. Brimlow does not in anyway try to conceal or avoid this fact. He deals with such challenges quite directly, which is a big reason why I admire the book. You have to read this one Jim!
I recently read an article by Stackhouse called "Following Jesus in the dark". It discussed a bit about why Bonhoeffer decided to plan Hitler's assassination...you should read it too.
