From The Top

The majority of my summer was spent at the pool, either swimming or lifeguarding. It was great and far from boring. I suppose that right after Kaleo, lifeguarding did seem a bit dull, but that didn't last long. There was some action this summer, but I do not wish for it any more. I was used to the training and fake incidents, but it's different when I am dealing with a real person in a real incident.

I was able to get two weeks off work to camp with my family on the Island and counsel at camp for a week where I was able to connect with a lot of Kaleo people. I have also been able to go on some sweet hikes with the family. Just recently we went up to Manning Park and hiked First Brother mountain. It had an amazing view at the top. The view did not just consist of mountains, but also black smoke and, at one point, fire balls from the forest fire in Washington that crossed the border soon after we were there.

Well, if you are ever around Chilliwack come stop by.
