Kaleo Open House 2005
It was cool to have six of next year's Kaleo students here this weekend. They got a taste of Kaleo - starting with swinging from 75 feet on the "Skyscraper" (at night with glowsticks!) to sharing the close and caring community that this year's students have become.
Saturday afternoon a number of students went to nearby seniors home for Alzheimer's patients, and there was a lady there who is going to die of cancer any day now. She was too weak to come out and listen to the music, so the group came into her room and sang to her and she cried and said that she used to sing that song as a girl - in Punjabi! The workers at the home were in tears too as they told the group that a rainbow had come out over the water just as they sang, and it gave them new hope to carry on their work. Wonderful to see what God does with our mere availability.
